Wow, so many movie buffs.

I haven't paid to see a movie since the Simpsons Movie. That was over a year ago.

I was completely floored by the movie last night. Everyone needs to go see this. I've never seen many people at the local theater. They had three rooms showing it, all sold out. Good thing I got there an hour early, because we had really good seats. :D

Also, they showed a trailer for Watchmen before the movie and it looks pretty damn awesome.

Me and my friends got tix for 10:15 tonight. Nearly every showing is sold out, I think only midnight is left for tonight. So pumped to see it. :D

I really want to see this. I'm a big Batman fan, but I rarely go to movie theatres anymore. I might make an exception for this awesome looking movie though.

Regardless, the DVD will definitely be in my collection when it comes out.

The Joker is the best Batman villian. I'd say only Raj Al Gul is as awesome an opponent for him as the Joker, but I don't particularly like what they did with him in the last movie. It was still great though, but I hope they did better with the Joker. The first movie really didn't capture just how awesome a villain Raj is, and much of the depth of his character was lost in that movie. As good as Batman Begins was, I would have done it differently. He shouldn't even have been in that movie, and what the hell where they thinking casting Katie Holmes in that movie?

I watched Batman Begins three times and enjoyed it, but it's a bit overrated and I hope the sequel can live up to the hype.

I loved Raj in Batman TAS. I'm assuming that was a more accurate representation of his comic book self? He seemed completely generic in Begins.

The idea in Batman begins was perfect for Ra's Al Ghul, a leader of assassins that try to cleanse/fix the world through mass murder.
I just got back from watching the Dark Knight and have to say that they it may not be the same as the comics, but they nailed the ideas of each character perfectly.
If there is anything I know, it is comic books (see the signature) and having over 450 Batman/Detective Comics I have to give these movies the thumbs up. These movies have done what other can not: separate the characters from the comic and place the same characters into a movie. Too many other movies try to put a comic in a movie and that does not always translate well.

Just saw the movie a couple of hours ago. By itself it is a pretty good movie. Compared to the first one, I think the first one is better. I don't know if I am the only one but the movie seems a bit long and convoluted. Too much story, too little action compared to the original with a finer balance. Perhaps the first one has a simpler plot. Though I have to agree with everyone of the excellent portrayal of the Joker by the late Heath Ledger. The joker was the best part of the movie.
