I'm no expert, and that site isn't anything official either. I see someone started the list in 2000 according to the top, maybe they forgot? I mean it is possible it was a J cart I saw in 95 or so. However I am certain the screen and marquee said Puzzle Bobble and was in English because that was the first time I played the game and I was confused when I saw it as Bust A Move in another cab later. Finding those 3 marquee variations seems to confirm I'm not crazy.dunpeal2064 wrote:Woah, weird! Looking through Neo-Geo.com's list of US released MVS carts, I only see Puzzle Bobble released in the JP region.
Not that I am calling you a liar, moreso that I am curious if there was a Puzzle Bobble AND Bust-A-Move release in the US.
If you look at their master list here: http://neo-geo.com/
You can see that it is labeled as Bust-A-Move, and Puzzle Bobble for the JP region. There is no Puzzle Bobble for the US listed.
Oddly... I have a Puzzle Bobble MVS Kit, and it has the Mini Marquee that you linked as US. However, all the paperwork is indeed in JP. (Now that its impossible that someone frankensteined this kit together)
You've sparked my curiosity Hobie

Re: Game with two different names?!
Exactly, those 3 different marquess are what got me thinking.
What was the MVS called in Europe? Were there even MVS carts released specifically for Europe? But... you would not have seen it if it were a European cart either I'm guessing.
That site is definitely not perfect, but TonK sure does know his stuff. Shit, everyone thought Aero Fighters 3 on the AES was a myth until that guy unearthed it. Of course, it is possible that they just missed that one.
Now that I have looked at both, I'm not sure which marquee I have.

I didn't mean to imply that site was crap or anything. Just something they're possibly missing a bit of info on.
