E2M3 is a real bear. If you can make it past all the damn enemies especially those guarding the Silver Key, there is a REAL nice bonus area full of points and 2 extra lives. I'm already up to 9

Also for a little fun and inspiration to all us TR players this month

What difficulty setting are most people playing on?
I went with the the level down from the hardest setting, its not too hard but adds a nice touch of strategy.

I must say the 3do versions is very smooth and pretty to look at, so far I got to play for an hour last night and died 3-4 times in the first level, every door and turn has a nazi waiting to hurt me wery wery badd.

I'm playing on the 2nd difficulty level. I found the easiest too easy. But this is challenging for me as I'm not a big FPS player.

I may switch to that difficulty if things get hairy and I feel like moving along.
I downloaded the xbla arcade version a few months back as well and got alittle further than I have now.

That version is not bad and is pretty cheap including dual stick support, achievements and visual update..Still nothing like the originals though

I'm making slow progress. Still on the second episode. I'm just not very good honestly. But the easiest difficulty is too easy and slightly boring and doesn't give trophies. But then the next up is slightly tough for me, so if I die I get frustrated and play something else. It's kind of a bummer because I feel slightly like I'm just going through the motions with TR this month, which is weird since I was so excited to play Wolf3d.

It probably doesn't help that I've been in this weird mood the past couple weeks. All I've had interest in playing is shmups and NBA 2K12. It's crazy cuz I've picked up like 30 PS2 games in the past month, but I seem to have no interest in playing any of them. I just play a basketball game and then work on trying to improve my high score on a shmup. :|

Not anything wrong with shmups

I've been enjoying Wolf3D again because it's been years since I've done it on the PC and the GBA version is pretty much pixel-perfect except for no music. NOT liking the zombie soldiers in Episode 2.

the GBA port is definitely good. And I agree, Zombie soldiers suck!

Does the PSN version allow you to save anywhere? Did you play Episode 1 and is 2 the same difficulty or harder?

you can save anywhere on PSN.

I played Ep1 on the same (2nd) difficulty. I found it easier than Ep2.
