What RPG are you playing right now?

I've been playing Dragon Warrior VII of late.

I'm glad the entire main series has been released in English. Over the past couple years it's pretty much become my favorite JRPG series.

Which ones are your favorite?

I'd say III and V are probably the overall best I've played thus far. III really perfected the form from a gameplay perspective and V did a great job of balancing the fun gameplay with solid story-progression, plus the marriage aspect was well-done.

But it's tough to really pick a favorite.

Did you play the original III or the SNES remake? The remake looks really awesome. I still haven't really dove in but III and V sound like the best starting points to me.

I played the GBC version of III, which has a lot of elements from the SNES version, making it seem a lot more advanced than other 8-bit RPGs I've played.

Multi-tasking with my PS2 (Legend of Legaia) and PS3 (Legend of Dragoon).

Finished Disgaea 3 on the Vita. Still plenty of post-game stuff, but I'm going to wait on that. It's time for Radiant Historia and Disgaea 4. And hopefully a bit of replaying Lunar: SSSC too.

Still working on Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest, as I have been rotating between a handful of games I have been playing. I can now say that I am farther now than I ever was during my initial run fifteen years ago when I borrowed the game from a friend for a few days. I have some interesting thoughts forming about this particular title, but I will finish the game and let them gestate fully before I unveil them. It is also time I research the game's history...
