Ah, gotcha :)

Don't feel bad, my entire list is pretty much invalid

Even though it isnt fitting here, I love Dimahoo's name. Mahou Dai(suken), or DaiMahou. Kinda a cool way to bring such a japanese name to the US, not that it made sense to anyone playing it at the time

Rayforce was one heck of a mess-up. Regional differences are always fun too. Taito sure knew how to screw it all up back in the day.

At least Capcom knew it was a good thing to bring Raizing titles overseas, and 1944 The Loop Master developed by Raizing sure isn't bad either.

Ironically, I just found a Revenge of Drancon in plastic case for the Game Gear today for $1.99.

Who in the blue hell thought it was a good plan to rename Wonderboy to Revenge of Drancon for the Game Gear????

Air Buster is on the Genesis. Aero Blasters is on the Turbografx-16. Both were released here.

But, Aero Blasters is also the name of the original Mega Drive release is it not?

So its still a region thing, but it was only applied to one release.

Yes, and also the arcade game.

Doesn't really count since it's the US and EU version, but Final Fantasy Adventure and Mystic Quest for original Game Boy are worth mentioning. Even though Final Fantasy Adventure was the American version, it was as common as the European version where I live. It gets really confusing when you know this became the first game in the Mana series...

Harvest Moon: Back to Nature (PS1), Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town (GBA), Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town (GBA), and Harvest Moon: Boy & Girl (PSP) are all essentially the same game. (Granted, there are some slight differences but still... same game.)

Air Buster (GEN) / Aero Blasters (TG-16 & J MD)

As for Puzzle Bobble (the very first one only, no sequels), when I saw it in 94-95, it wasn't at the kind of place that had import arcade machines. Here are US and Japanese mini marquees. Here is a Bust A Move one.

Woah, weird! Looking through Neo-Geo.com's list of US released MVS carts, I only see Puzzle Bobble released in the JP region.

Not that I am calling you a liar, moreso that I am curious if there was a Puzzle Bobble AND Bust-A-Move release in the US.

If you look at their master list here: http://neo-geo.com/

You can see that it is labeled as Bust-A-Move, and Puzzle Bobble for the JP region. There is no Puzzle Bobble for the US listed.

Oddly... I have a Puzzle Bobble MVS Kit, and it has the Mini Marquee that you linked as US. However, all the paperwork is indeed in JP. (Now that its impossible that someone frankensteined this kit together)

You've sparked my curiosity Hobie

Confused?
Just reminded me of more busting move to confusion!

PS1 Bust a Move / Bust a Groove 1 and 2. The Japanese dance version had Move, changed to Groove for the US releases to avoid a mixup of the Bobble Bust Move games. I am now trying on a strait jacket.
