Or you can get all three Wolfenstein games (OG, Spear of Destiny, and Return to Castle Wolfenstien) for $3.75.

I was really hoping to just get a physical RtCW copy but at 3 bucks it's hard to say no. :?

I just finished level 3, 100% kills but only 50% treasure/secrets. I thought I was pretty thorough looking for secret places but I guess not.

I have the level 2 gun (semi-automatic rifle?). At what point do you get a better weapon?

You can get a chaingun on the second level. It's not really given to you directly at any point I don't think.

Full game is completely free today for iPad/iPhone on the appstore! Grabbing it right now, as believe it or not, I don't have a copy of it. Looks like iPad 2 is where I will be shooting Nazis with Together Retro this month :)

Has anyone tried any of the mods for Wolfenstein 3D? Earlier in the thread, someone mentioned WolfenDoom. Looking at the gamefaqs.com boards, it seems that there's also NewWolf & Wolf4SDL

I've been using DOSBox which is fine but would like to try these other ports to see if they offer a better experience.

Any other mods to recommend?

EDIT: Here's another one:

The frame rate and resolution seems a bit choppy/low I noticed. Plus there's only the three episodes. Doesn't control quite as well IMO as say on DOSBox or any of the source ports, but I suppose that's a given.

I've been using Wolf4SDL and it's been working great for me so far. Change it to any resolution you desire and you can get the original AdLib sound as well. No retextures or anything weird like that too.

I'm playing this on my 2004 Dell D810 Latitude laptop running Windows 7. I'm using the built-in speaker. I do have a set of speakers on my desktop and I'm wondering if it's worth plugging those in. Is the sound greatly improved?

I'd say it depends if you like the sounds of the AdLib card and Wolfenstein 3D in general. ANYTHING would sound better through any speakers that aren't laptop speakers, for the most part anyway.
