Yes, if you have the dongle you'll be able to output to TVs and the like. The computer will be doing most of the work though

Re: if your pc has composite output
I had an old laptop with composite out. It was fine for watching SD videos, but games and anything with fine text looked pretty awful.

I do remember hooking up my playstation to the pc and things looked a tad bit sharper, especially the texts.

Re: if your pc has composite output
So your actual question and wording makes no sense to me.
You're asking about OUTput. As in, the PC is sending a copy of its desktop or whatever program you're running to a TV. But you ask if it works like a VGA box, which leads me to believe you actually mean INput. As in taking some console and using your monitor as a TV.

That is a little confusing. I assumed he meant output ...Hobie-wan wrote:So your actual question and wording makes no sense to me.

Out, yes, it works. In, no you need a capture card.

Right, so that's different than other people are answering. Taking composite or s-video input from a console and routing it to your monitor is completely different.

Re: if your pc has composite output
Yes. yes it is.
It depends on what he wants ... if he wants to display stuff on his monitor, vs, output from the computer or into the computer ... they're all entirely different things.
So, I actually agreed some clarification is required.
