The super small about the size of a dvd case psone that is. Noticed the pawn shop has one with the lcd for $25 with all the wires and the controller that matches. swapping discs doesnt bother me too much btw.

The Breaker Pro disc is great I've never had any issues with it.
If you're not afraid of soldering, you can install a modchip.

Just be warned that the PSOne is a little harder to mod than a PS1. I've done both, and the target points on the PSone can be much smaller and fragile. In fact, I melted one of the little resistors right off the base by just barely touching it. Chip still worked, but failed to boot like 25% of the time.
Yeah, the PSone mod it a bit tedious, but as long as you have yourself a low-wattage soldering iron, you should be set.
I've done it on a few PSones, and the only one that cam out wrong, I was able to fix afterwards. I accidentally pushed the iron onto some resistors and other chips [cause I was not paying attention] which then moved out of place. I was able to remove them completely and solder them back on. The system worked fine afterwards. Boots up 95% of the time.
