Hi everone,
Today was my birthday and I picked up a sega dreamcast with 2 vmu's, rumble pack, and capcom vs snk, crazi taxi, sonic adventure, r.e. code veronica, ready to rumble, and street fighter alpha 3. Man did i miss the dreamcast. I regret selling my dreamcast.I was thinking of a question if anyone regrets selling or missed out buying a system or a game they wish they bought and regret it later in life.
My story was for the dreamcast. I just bought a ps2 with maybe 15 or so games. This was in 2008 or so just before thanksgiving. Well a friend of mine that was working at a gamestore ended up getting 2 boxes of dreamcast games, systems, controller's, vmu's etc. Some were sealed doubles of rare titles and loose copies of games like all the fighter's, rpg's ,ended up having almost every u.s title for the system.
The day after thanksgiving I rewturned everything I bought the ps2 and games and the dreamcast games and acc wasw at 75% off plus 10% because i was a member and buy 2 get 1 free. I ended up with everything.
I ended up with all the u.s titles complete except for maybe 10 sports games for the dreamcast. I was so happy. A year later I sold it for cash to get a ps3. WTF was I thinking
If anyone wants to share thier story please feel free. You can either say something you wished you bought like me for instance not buying panzer dragoon saga because it was 40.00 and it didn't want to spend that much in 97 lol or say something you regret in selling like my dreamcast collection. Now that I got one back today I have to get the games i love most back. Ebay here i come
What is your biggest regret in selling or buying video games

My biggest regret was selling my PS2 and games back at the start of this gen. The money went towards buying me an N64 and a 360. I don't regret the N64, but the 360 was definitely inferior to what I had before. I got a PS2 again for Christmas in '08, but my collection has never been as big as it was. And that 360 has been dead for years now, so it's like I basically burned my money up. I learned my lesson, though: don't fund purchases of new consoles with old consoles.

About 5 months ago a local guy was selling a Vectrex on craigslist. $50 for the system, a bunch of games, and screen overlays.
For some reason a voice inside my head said something like, "You don't even know anything about the Vectrex, do a little research and think about it for awhile."
Anyway, I emailed the seller about 4 hours after the original ad went up. He replies promptly and tells me he just sold it.
Moral of the story: if you find a great deal, jump on it before it's gone.

Happy birthday mas
I don't think i have any regrets besides selling my first sega cd.
A guy told me it was a shitty system and it would break in no time to get rid of it.
I gave into peer pressure and sold it for 30.00. A friend gave me a sega cd in the rental box that he couldn't get to work, found out it had a bad power brick. I have had it for around 2yrs now with no problems.

I regret selling Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru for Saturn. I found a copy dirt cheap (6000 yen) and instead of keeping it for myself I flipped it on ebay for 200 bucks. When I went to the post office to send it off, a voice in my head said "What have you done?!"

Can't say it's a full regret but I can say upgrading my systems would be my regret. Anytime a new upgrade to a handheld would come out I would sell my old system and upgrade to a new one. Such as selling my PSP 1000 and getting the PSP 2000 for pennies on the dollar. I think I only did that with DS Phat and when I wanted to exchange my colbalt GBA for the NES version.
Which now that I think about it really wasn't that bad ...
