Not game related directly:

My sons call Nathan/Keith "NeoGeo" and always request to watch his video. They both have his song on their mp3 players along with Yo Gaba Gaba and Mickey Mouse songs.

Amazing! And that's a really well taken photo, too, composition-wise.SpaceBooger wrote:Not game related directly:

Well, I'm going to see if my model 1 NES works, and if it does I'll see if I can give it to my cousins, along with some games.

The other day I was playing some Genesis games and my 2 year old son let out a loud 'SEEEEEGAAAAAA'. It made me so happy. He was really enjoying watching me play and kept on singing Sega over and over.

My daughter recently proclaimed me in front of her school as the "Coolest Dad" for hooking up a Sega in her room. Her game of choice? Turtles:Hyperstone Heist.

I want kids just to mold them into retro gamers...

Young children are wonderful to play retro (and other) games with because they do not have one molecule of bias toward any specific consoles in them, graphic realism doesn't matter, and their faces light up with wonder at the simplest things in a game that anyone older would take for granted or perhaps not even notice.
Im lucky to have kids. My 2 year old son and I play Forza 3 or "car game" as he calls it, almost every day and he gets so into it. He gets just as excited though if I fire up Road Rash or any Genesis/SNES game.
