Super Mario RPG Help

Post by ElkinFencer10 »

I've just beaten the piranha plant boss (Megasmilex or something like that?), and I'm on my way to Nimbus Land, but when you're climbing the vines in the clouds to get there, I can't get to the third vine. There isn't enough room to jump. I fought the enemy floating between the two vines, but I still just fell. Am I missing something obvious here, or do I just suck at jumping? Thanks for any help that anyone can offer.

If I remember correctly, it's just a pain in the ass and if you keep trying you'll get it eventually. haha

Are you jumping from a yellow leaf to a green leaf? If that's the case, then like harper said it's just a really hard jump. I believe that there's an alternate route below it somewhere, but you get treasure chests for doing it the hard way.

I'm jumping from a yellow one to a blue one. It's the second and third vines, respectively, RIGHT after you climb up the beanstalk into the clouds.

If you're talking about the very first set of vines (the one with a note attached to the green vine) then yes, that is a difficult jump, but it is possible to make it. When you get to the second (yellow) vine, get on top, move back, hit the button to speed up and at the very last second, jump. Mario should get on that blue vine and climb straight up.

Yeah, that is the exact spot I'm talking about. Thanks, I'll have to give it another try in the morning.

I know that jumping is a staple of Mario games and all, but Square REALLY didn't do a good job with the jumping on this game...

It shows your difficult jump and a little bit further ahead.

Not a problem. And I see you got to the Factory! Good times, just take it easy there, it's a bit of a fight....
