I am playing Disgaea 3 as well but plan on only playing the main story. At least for now. I also want to quickly get through Disgaea 4 before June because of a Disgaea 4 cosplay I will be doing, haha.

That has the downside of the text being completely unreadable. I myself prefer Japanese audio options whenever possible in Japanese-developed games but I still need a localization for all the text.

Oh, Erik, you wouldn't listen to a dub to save your life, would you? It's a shame, because P4 has one of the best localizations in all of gaming.

I dislike dubs, yes. I would rather hear the original audio. Same applies for all sorts of games. If the voices were originally done in German, I want to hear German. If they were originally done in Arabic, well, I want to hear Arabic.

That said, I will suffer through a dub if necessary. I suffered through the Tales of Graces f dub... Damn that was annoying. It's not to say that the original audio can't be annoying too, but I'll take my chances.

Sometimes the localized versions are better than the original Japanese. It's rare, but it does happen on occasion. I don't know anyone who prefers Akio Otsuka over David Hayter as Solid Snake's VA.
