Man, I want to dig into this thing but time is tight :x I got 20 minutes worth tonight and had a bit of an improvement. I did hit that 100K bonus on busturtle's head once. Stage 3 boss is a bit of a tyrant, but i'll hit him a few more times and work it out. Starting to get to stage 3 steady on 1st or 2nd life.

Stuff happens so fast, i'm still not sure the best way to score. Do I want to unleash Fire on Fire enemies, or on Ice Enemies?

Today's best:
1,219,350 - mjmjr25 - 38/108 - stage 3 - Miyamoto - Arcade

EDIT: Pic Removed, New Best:

Couldn't sleep, needed some more runs, switched over to Karte:
1,349,240 - mjmjr25 - 45/108 - stage 3 (boss) - Karte - Arcade

EDIT: Pic Removed, New Best below...

I can see this is going to be a difficult month for me, especially since I am *not* a fan of Karte (well that and its bullet hell)

1,117,500 - ExedExes - Stage 3 - Miyamoto - 25/108 - MAME

Got the Ruby from Stage 1 boss this time.

The way the polarity works is Ice on Fire or Fire on Ice. So when you're red (Fire) going against blue (Ice) enemies or bosses, you will do double damage when different and only half damage when the same. However, if you are hit by a red enemy's fire while you're red (Fire) or blue enemy's ice while you're blue (Ice), you only downgrade a shot/magic level, and you won't die. As the instruction cards say, look for a green flash when you hit something, that means you're doing more damage. (Hint: Try attacking Busturtle in blue/Ice mode for more damage, his head and tail are red)

So yeah, have at it modern shmup fans

Hey guys, I thought I'd join in on the Dimahoo fun.
I just had time for a quick survival run, no idea how to score in this game.

Definitely doing better now that I see the importance of using the proper element on the fire/ice enemies - and wow, that can make the bosses so much faster.

1,615,700 - mjmjr25 - Karte - Stage 4 - 53/108 - Arcade

Not posting my score yet, but I got in the 900K range a few times. This game is nuts and there is so much stuff on the screen at once. I love Raizing! I can't wait to actually have some time to sink into this game and learn the scoring system.

I've been using Miyamoto as my main.

I love Miyamoto's speed, obviously, but it is actually a bit of a hindrance for the bullet patterns beginning at stage 2 boss, and then def. on stage 3. His power shot doesn't last nearly as long as Karte's. I switched to Karte, but she felt slow after Miyamoto - so then I did 3 runs w/Gremlin (very slow, very powerful), then went back to Karte, and she felt faster and definitely more control.

Hoping to put some real time into this tomorrow.

ExedExes - 1,246,340 - Miyamoto - Stage 3 - 24/108

My problem is getting the power shot on Busturtle to get the Ruby with Karte. Keep losing all my lives trying and discarding a whole mess of runs/scores as a result. Can do it every time with Miyamoto now, but as was mentioned, gets too fast for later stages, so that's the dilemma I'm facing. Seems that Karte's the choice for a far better score.

I'll offer up another hint -- Stage 2 boss goes down faster if you're fire (Red).
