Fun watch, but the one guy needs a better mic.
Watch a match like that, and this is your comment? I thought you'd be halfway through building your Vampwood shrine by now.

In all fairness, maybe Tribes isn't for you.
Because I don't care to watch other people play it all that much? Yes those guys had skill, but, I don't really care. I play the game for fun. I don't see how Tribes "isn't for" me considering I play it a ton and have lots of fun with it. :?

Tribes is no longer in beta! Got a new map and game mode today as well. I'll be playing quite a bit tonight I'd imagine.

Way too fast for me. I also didn't like that every weapon had splash damage, but I certainly appreciate the necessity. When I played (~November/December) unlocking new classes was a massive grind, but I hear they've improved that since them (to what extent I do not know.) Skiing is a fun mechanic and I'd love to see it in a platformer type game, but I thought trying to aim while doing it was exceedingly difficult and I'm well accustomed to mouselook. It didn't help that everyone seemed to be far more accustomed to it than I was, but that's a problem I have with a lot of multiplayer games.

There are plenty of weapons without splash damage for what it's worth it.

Personally, I love the game to bits. It's taken place of my favorite FPS from TF2 and Quake Live. I love fast paced shooters. It definitely has a very high skill ceiling though, and I commonly make at least one or two people rage when being a try-hard.

It's a shame that it attracts the cod-tards, but luckily most of those people are hilariously bad and stop playing after a while.

What are the modes you guys play the most? CTF is the only one that is playable if your one that hasn't paid for upgrades.

CTF. I used to play a lot of TDM even without the upgrades. Skill is ultimately the deciding factor, not having an extra 5 spinfusor discs.
