Best TG16 Hardware Investment

This topic is just what I needed, so marurun seems to be the expert. The PCE+CD combo should be the cheapest route, what is the current price for one? and what's the current price for a jap DUO? I always see them on ebay for about $200. Then you get your Jap arcade card your ready to go and play any cd game you like, but now you want to play us hucards so you need to mod it isn't it cheaper and easier to get a turbografx only for the us games?

I have a turbografx w/cd and been pondering what's the next step and a PCE would be a nice addition to my collection. Modding was winning for now cause converters are too expensive but its not my priority since there are a lot of hucards and cd games I can still play.

Isn't all the PCE stuff white?

I once thought of getting a Turbografx 16 or a Duo along with some of my favorite games for that system but thats way too pricey. I think I'll stick with emulating it.

PC Engine is white, Cores gray and R/RX's are light grey. Both US and Jap Duo's are black-ish.

I got myself a TurboGrafx-16 All wires + 1 Controller & Keith Courage for 24$. Now i just need to make a Adapter, arghh!!

For Adapter I meant Hucard Adapater (Jap games on US console) like this one posted by marurun:

thanx you answered one of my questions, why mode a jap unit to play us cards if its cheap to get the us unit. if you do start you're adapter project post your progress on the forums maybe it'll give me motivation to start.

Actually, I got it cheap because It was my Friends. Modding a PC-Engine is way less complicated then making a Adapater for you hucards but it should be fun to do.
