Modding a Japanese White Saturn (Model 2)

Am I right in thinking that modding this would be the same as modding the black US model 2 versions? I opened it up and the layout of parts looked pretty much the same as the US region one, and it definitely wasn't a Sanyo board model.

The insides are what counts.
If it is a 32-pin machine on the inside, you are definately good to go.

Yeah I believe it is the same layout, same green pcb, so I'll be putting in an order then.
