Have you guys ever played this game called Tech Romancer for Sega Dreamcast?
This game looks pretty neat and it is probably one of the very few mecha games out there for DC. Not to mention, Jin Saotome is in the game also (even though his "first" appearance was on Cyberbots)!!
Talking about Cyberbots, what is your opinion on this another game? I got this from PSN for $5.99

Re: Tech Romancer
Tech Romancer is a spiritual sequel to Cyberbots which in turn is somewhat of a sequel to Armored Warriors. Tech Romancer is a very fun game. Wonderful presentation, lots of extras and a nice DC exclusive

Fantastic fighter from Capcom. Studio Nue handled the animation work for the introduction and had some involvement in the game, they worked on Macross (where fighters like Rafaga were obviously inspired from). DC port has great extra features and lots of replay value and of course, Jin and Blodia II.

Tech Romancer is pretty good. If you like both fighters and mechas, then it's definitely for you. Plus it's just a good solid fighting game.
Re: Tech Romancer
I liked Tech romancer and played it quite a bit until my copy of Powerstone came in the mail.... I was cool to see a game that was pretty much a giant reference/parody of mecha anime.
I think we can all agree that this game can be summed up in 1 phrase: DAT FINAL BOSS!!!!

The presentation is that of a classic anime/mecha series, with each stage being an "episode" in many story lines.Godot102 wrote:I liked Tech romancer and played it quite a bit until my copy of Powerstone came in the mail.... Also, dat final boss can appear at the end or in one character's case, the MIDDLE of their story, can be a maternal figure to another character, or in the case of G.Kaiser's story, the ultimate evil that must be defeated, as his HERO theme starts up on the second form!

It was also cool to have branching paths in an arcade fighting game, which actually led to some alternate endings for certain characters.
