Apparently issues #1-3 of the AT comic are sold out, because so many people liked it. They reprinted them, and those sold out too. I should have got on this earlier. I called up my local comic book store and he said he'd start stocking it, but I'm on my own for the first three issues. If you're interested in this comic, you need to start buying it now.

So I watched today's Young Justice and I was totally shocked. MAJOR additions to the cast!

Nightwing (looks like it didn't take long for Dick Grayson to grow up on this show)
Red Robin
Batgirl

If you're a Bat fan and still not watching this show, I don't know what's wrong with you. We also got

Wonder Girl
Blue Beetle
Bumblebee
Beast Boy

and that's all I remember at the moment. There was also a cameo by Lobo. Awesome episode! They still keeping the Justice League as a big part of the show. I was happy to see a scene with the John Stewart Green Lantern. With all of the different kids being added to this awesome show, it's practically making that Teen Titans cartoon we once had irrelevant.

Huh. Some of the character additions are interesting but now there are just way too many. Where is Aqualad? He was really cool and we've got an annoying green fish dude instead. >_> And what does Meg see in him? I knew Superboy had no hope in that relationship, but after five years he's still angry about it. That actually makes a lot of sense for his character, horray. But why is he wearing gloves when he has impenetrable skin?

The original team had awesome chemistry and a good sized cast. Their fighting abilities were carefully thought out to work with each other too. Too many new guys for that kind of characterization now. It was a good episode but I don't know if I like where the show is going.

+1

I hope this is some storyarc that's gonna end, then return to the Young Justice we all know. It's too soon to be adding members to the roster.

It's pretty much going in the same direction as Justice League Unlimited, which took the core seven of the Justice League and added a bunch of extra characters. It actually made the show better. Black Canary, Huntress, The Question, Supergirl, Green Arrow, Captain Atom, just to name a few. They all added a lot to that show. Some of the best episodes featured the new characters and the bigger cast allowed for the most epic fights ever done in any animated series ever on television. This is just another way that the show seems to be carrying the torch from Justice League Unlimited.

I can see how the cast changes might upset people. Frankly, I was just too giddy seeing Batgirl and Tim Drake in action, a fight with Clayface, and watching Nightwing giving out orders to the other kids in place of Batman to be really bothered by the changes in the cast. I'm a happy Bat fan right now. Plus, I thought Blue Beetle was awesome

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that the changes in the cast only makes the show better. Greg Weisman had a lot of characters on his old show Gargoyles too, so this isn't new territory for him.

I have some interesting thoughts on the new relation Megan is in. Notice she's with someone now who doesn't really look all that human, much like herself when she drops the disguise and reveals her true form. Just some food for thought there.

Dan Vs. is getting a season set! I'm real glad, this is one of my favorite currently running shows. Buying for sure.

Although, I find it rather strange that Dan Vs. is getting a season set before MLP. I always figured that MLP was the biggest show on the network? I guess one can't get an accurate impression of potential sales from internet forums alone.

It's really weird. I know so many people (including myself) who would pay just about anything for a season set, but all we've gotten is Friendship Express (five episodes) and individual iTunes downloads. It's no wonder these episodes are being downloaded constantly.

I found this while seeing if a season set had been released internationally.

B Ward wrote:Guys, I understand the "Brony" movement, but one thing has to remain clear. This show was not intended for the older audience as much as it was intended for children. Retailers don't take into account the size of the audience bigger than its target. The target for this series, like it or not, is children. And young children's DVDs do not sell well when in large disc-count sets. Parents don't want to shell out $30-$40 for four discs, when they can spend less on a single disc. So the retailers make it clear that they want single disc sets.

We can create both, if the retailers agree to take both. But we cannot spend the necessary money to create complete season sets, if they're only going to sell online or at Shout! Factory Select, because retailers rejected them.

I can imagine that the ridiculous ratings from the Canterlot Wedding episode will change Hasbro's/Shout's minds though.

And I was right about an international release; Australia is getting a full set for Season 1.

That's good enough, really. Just download the free version of DVD Fab Passkey, and we can import them and watch on our PCs. I've done it before for other things that never made it to the US.

Not to say that it's as good as a US release, but it certainly works.

Well, not all of the discs have even been released yet, as far as I know. They were selling the Season 1 box and only one disc and releasing the discs as they go. Does not make it cheap.

Plus, I'd like to be able to watch them in places where I don't have a computer.
