The only FPS campaign I'm currently anywhere in is Modern Warfare 2 ... and there's a good chance I won't finish it.

It's only like 3 hours long.

That's not the reason why.
I'm just annoyed with the choices they made. Since CoD2 the games have been progressively worse.

I've been playing Hard Reset. It's like playing an old school FPS in a Blade Runner future. Sometimes there is too much corridor and not enough maze, but overall it's pretty cool.

Yeah, it's not a bad game. I like the weapon upgrade system in it (went mostly energy weapons, myself). Really good looking game too. Oddly, it's gotten me hankering to play Serious Sam 3, now. I may have to snap that one up next time it gets a Steam sale thingie.

You know, I never hear much about Serious Sam 3. What'd you and anyone else here that played it think of it? I absolutely loved the first game, but the second one didn't grab me from the little I played. Was really interested in checking out 3 sometime though.

Oh, I haven't played Serious Sam 3 yet. Hard Reset is just making me want to go buy SS3. I guess after playing one good single-player FPS, I find myself craving more, and from what I've seen of SS3, it looks pretty darn good. I look forward to replacing blood with explosions of delicious candy!

I felt the same way about the second. I'm happy to say that Serious Sam 3 is a definite return to form.

I did a whole lot of not playing anything while on 'break'. Been going through Fallout 3 again, but with the expansions now for the past few weeks.
For those who like physical copies and have Half Price Books nearby, it is $5 at the ones near me.
