What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Smile: No hang over despite an evening that should have given rise to one.
Frown: According to my inbox, I made some purchases last night. Apparently I decided that I needed to buy Castle of Shikigami III again, despite having bought and sold it twice before. Well, at least I got a good price!

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

This happens to me all the time, heh. I remember this one time after a night of pretty heavy guzzling I wound up spending like 100 bucks on games. They were all pretty good purchases that I don't really regret, but I couldn't believe that I had spent so much and totally forgot.Flake wrote:Frown: According to my inbox, I made some purchases last night.

SMILE: Went to a video game expo thing at a nearby college, the producer of SWTOR was there!
FROWN: Which made me barely miss the end of the weekly KIU event. Meh, give and take.

On the plus side:
Fun times tonight at Colorado National Speedway.
The last event was a demolition race. Always a blast!
There was a van made to be the A-team van. One truck ended up on its roof. Another truck was tagged in midair, spun out, and barrel rolled 3 times (the driver walked away just fine). Three different vehicles ended up running on blown tires, and in one case nothing but the rim. And finally, the winning car was a rinky dink little import (maybe, it was so trashed nobody could identify what it ever was exactly) that was running on three regular tires and one of those mini doughnut spares.
So yeah, awesome.

Smile: Saturday is a goner. I haven't been this tired since our 18 hour shifts in Iraq.
Ticked: Hyperextended my shoulder at the gym last week. Tweaked it again this evening.

Smile: It's a gorgeous day, playoff hockey at 3pm, and besides grocery shopping and dusting and vacuuming the house I have no responsibilities other than not setting the house on fire.
Frown: Rising gas prices. Food prices seem to be going up as well.

Too many of my friends are dying. I hope the "it comes in threes" saying isn't true. I don't want to lose a third so soon.

Smile: I got onto a skateboard for the first time in almost 20 years and did not fall onto my face. Which would have been really embarrassing since I was skating around the Emergency Room in full view of a dozen ambulance drivers and paramedics. The skateboard belonged to a kid whose dislocated shoulder I have just reduced. And btw, I was the doctor in charge of the whole A&E Department at the time so I would have had quite a lot of explaining to do if I hurt myself.
Frown: Being informed my the Civil Protection people (our Rescue/Firefighters) that there was a gas explosion and a building had come down with probable multiple victims. Luckily, turned out that it was a washing machine explosion (...I don't even know...) and the entire damage to the house consisted of one broken window. Nobody got injured. Good news but the misinformation caused a bit of chaos at work.
