Unless you're using a stepdown transformer, a model 1 Sega Genesis DC adapter is your best bet (which is what I use).

I finally got the Famicom to work on channel 13 using a step up transformer!
So, is it just some strange hybrid Famicom, with mismatching parts?
Even the sticker on the back doesn's have the markings for the Channle or TV/Game switches
