Any Good Places in Eureka/Arcata CA to Get Classic Games? Or any good arcades? How about comic shops?

Me and the wife are spending a weekend there in June.

Nice quiet area, I've driven thru there a few times. Looks like a few game stores just North in Oregon at Ashland and Medford. A steep mountain drive over the Siskiyou pass though. For sightseeing, Ashland has a nice downtown for the summer Shakespeare crowd and a beautiful park.

Don't bother coming up into Southern Oregon for retro stuff. The few of us that live here keep it pretty picked clean, and even then, there isn't much of anything. I've recently resorted to the devil shop to get my retro fix (*gasp* Ebay).

Honestly guys, for the cost of fuel to drive up over the mountain, you probably aren't going to find anything. Now.... if you were going further north up I-5, I'd say do it. But if you aren't planning on going further up than Medford, then I say it isn't worth it.

Sure, the couple of Play N Trades have some old Madden SNES carts laying around, and some over priced original XBOX games and stuff, but I can't recommend the drive. (Unless you were already going to be here anyway)

Just my $.02
