Haven't played this in a while. Stage 5 is usually my limit in Psikyo games, and sure enough I died on Stage 5 (almost beat the boss, though).

Congrats on taking top spot! I'll have to give this one a go and see if I can climb back to the top.

Should all be updated.

Re: Gunbird - High Scores

Did a search and didn't find the exact answer I was looking for, so please excuse the non-high score nature of this post.

I used to play Gunbird at the arcades when I was young, and want to buy it for console now, but I've tried the PS1 version (MLF) and was appalled at how bad it was. Crazy load times, no music, no attempts at telling the story. I saw in my search that the Saturn version is better, but does it have music, story, and no load time before bosses? I understand loading a level and such, but stopping the game just before a boss because it has to load is really lame.

Thanks for any help!

Music, yeah. Load before boss, no. Story, don't recall - Gunbird 2 does for sure, can't recall on Gunbird. Either way, yes, SAT-J version is superior to MLF.

For some odd reason, I didn't think this one would run in MAME. Runs just as well as Strikers and Dragon Blaze! Lots of characters and not as difficult to break the Stage 4 wall here.

Nice start man, got your score up there. Give pole lady a try, her charge attack is off the hook.
