Yeah, it was a great Sonic game in the classic style. The only part that bothered me was having to take a second or so more than the classic games to speed up Sonic to full speed; which I got used to pretty fast so it's really a small complaint, for me.Gamerforlife wrote:You enjoyed the first one? Not looking forward to this at all since I've heard they are keeping the same old physics as 1.
Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II Preview
I'm not sure where you heard that. Its been said in several places, including by people who have played the game for previews, that the physics have been changed quite a bit.Lorfarius wrote:Not looking forward to this at all since I've heard they are keeping the same old physics as 1.
@burningdoom
Nice to see someone else excited about the game! There wasn't much response in the other Sonic 4.2 thread.
I think it looks impressive and a huge improvement over the original, so I'm definitely pumped.
Also, I don't know if you've heard, (or if you're even interested, it really depends on whether or not you like Tails) but Ken Balough mentioned in another interview that if there's enough demand for it, they may patch in an option to make Tails the lead character, having Sonic follow him. For me, that was big news.

Personally, I don't think anything about the original fit the classic style at all. They couldn't even get the physics right and the level design and boss fights were much less inspired.BurningDoom wrote:Yeah, it was a great Sonic game in the classic style. I still will check out this new one though to see how improved it is.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II Preview
I can safely say I'm very excited about this. I felt Episode I was decent enough (Not saying it was perfect, by any means) and if they take cues from classic Sonic in Generations, it could be a really great edition to the classic style family.
