Re: Earthbound....
It's difficult for me to say, really. You can bring up examples that would show that it won't sell. There are, of course, counter examples (Shadow of the Colossus, Final Fantasy III DS), but it's impossible to tell b/c there are too many variables. I do think there's an untapped market that, given the proper release, could be a financial success. I think right now would be a great time for them to revisit the Mother brand given that they're scrounging around for games to remake on the 3DS. I can't say Earthbound would really lend itself to a 3D overhaul, but I can think of a few ways it could happen (either make it like the N64 demo, or make it in a style similar to Paper Mario). Hell, bundle it with a limited edition red w/ Earthbound logo 3DS system. That way, everyone obsessed with Earthbound is pretty much forced to buy it.
I have a ton of games listed at my store's site: Super Smash Video Games
Re: Earthbound....
Just finished Earthbound Zero via emulation and my USB NES pad, been meaning to play the SNES version but just never had the time. Got a cart sat on the desk besides me, soon my friend, soon
Re: Earthbound....
Hm. I come on here hoping that a couple+ people were looking to sell. Read through it all...one freakin' person and it's been sold already. What's even more disheartening is the fact that the discussion at hand seems to be what I've been witnessing for the past one and a half years and that is the constant rise in price.
I don't want to emulate, I want the actual cart at a non-inflated price. A CIB would be overwhelmingly appreciated as I am a collector and a true fan of RPG's. This is one game that definitely got away from me and that gap looks to be ever expanding. If I ever got my hands on a copy, especially a CIB I would appreciate the hell out of it and never let it go. When I die, my video game collection is coming with me (I'm either going to be stuffed with them or have the games melted down to be used as embalming fluid). ...And that's IF I die.

Thing's that I'm looking for at the moment: Super Mario RPG manual(SNES), Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals map and cart(SNES), The King of Dragons Box and manual(SNES), Lufia and the fortress of doom CIB(SNES), Earthbound CIB(SNES), EVO: The Search for Eden CIB(SNES), Harvest Moon CIB(SNES), Mario Paint CIB(SNES), Bomberman Party Pak With Super Multitap(SNES), DoReMi Fantasies CIB(SFC).

Re: Earthbound....
Hmm... perhaps. Or perhaps death is not what we think. Perhaps we "died" when we came to this earth, to experience life in a new way.
Maybe death is only the beginning...
Maybe having your family stuff your dead body with a CIB Earthbound, amongst other things, is truely where Zen lies.

Well said, but right now I'll only accept reasonable offers on a CIB copy of Earthbound.MrPopo wrote:I think the only reason we die is we accept it as an inevitability.

...I've just seen a lot of people seriously talk about being buried with their collections and stuff before. I just don't get it man...
