hi RB members , ive been having a problem for the last 6 weeks where 3 of 5 of online purchases havent turned up. Ive never experienced this before i used to hold a 100% success ratio of receiving packages for about 6 years.
2 of the packages were from the same person and within Australia. The other was from ConsoleSource ie Canada to Australia.
The 2 packages were handled by Australia Post completely , the other Canada Post then when it gets to Australia i guess it goes to Customs then Australia Post handles it.
Somewhere there is a breakdown in the system and ive been trying to figure it out. I think its my default carrier ' Australia Post ' they suck. I think its either them losing the packages through the system or someone is stealing from the front of the house possibly another scenario ?
What i want to do is get a new PC and buy a Webcam to do surveillance outside , im then going to put fake packages in the letterbox 2-3 times a week for about a month and film 6 hours a day. What this does is possibly rule out theft and if theft is going on i will be going to the local Police Station with the footage.
Its hard to believe that someone could be stealing in my area as i live in a good area but i still need to rule this out or this situation.
Ive been looking at this Webcam below i think it is a good candidate to do the job.

what do think about my plan and this Webcam ? ive seen Youtube videos of it in action and it looks pretty good for a Webcam. Maybe i can tweak my plan a bit based on responses if they are better than what i have come up with. Also how much Hard Drive space will i need for 1080P h.264 footage at 6 hours a day ? im hoping it will fit on a 2TB Hard Drive thats what i plan to get in the new PC.
any suggestions and tips help
