So I was playing Gunbird over in the corner and I had the boys (4 and 6) setup playing Harmful Park over in the other end of the room.

About 35 minutes later my son starts yelling, "Get the camera dad, i'm gonna pass Noise!" So I ran over to see what he was talking about. He had switched over to Zanac and was on Area 3.

I thought this game needed some love. Played for about an hour today.

Just watched a run of some person doing it on youtube. They had over 4 million around the time they got to the area I died. I must be playing bad.

I finally got this game running on an emulator (screw epsxe, pSX is superior) and started playing last night.

First run, playing with the keyboard just for the hell of it, I got 432,920. Ok.

Today, I started playing with a pad and screwing up royally at first. You can see the best of my crapola scores at the bottom of the screenshot, heh.

Once I got my act together though, things went smoothly, and I finished at Area 3. I would have gotten farther, but I foolishly died like a punk several times in Area 2 (pure stupidity) and that took care of that.

My score:1,160,610



I can definitely do better, and it won't take long either. I like this game, a lot. I suppose its probably not difficult enough for some of you pros (judging by earlier comments ), but the balance feels just right for me. I liked Dragon Blaze, but this is more my speed.

this guy might as well be playing a completely different game as me. Jeez.

He's big on weapon 7 which seems to eat through orange bullets if he uses the special shot. Which weapon are you guys maining? I've been using 2 mostly as it puts a shield in front of you. 6 is kind of cool too as it kills a lot of shit, but I tend to die more easily than if I use 2.

That's the video I watched where he had 4million by area 4. He had over 50 lives near part 5 of the video series.

My god I hate Area 3!

What a bitch.

The weird part is it took me forever to finally clear 3, and then area 4 was downright easy in comparison.

Anyway, made it to area 7 with 3 lives, but ended up dying pretty quick. It turns up the heat quite a bit.
