What can gamers, computer or console do to save energy on earthday

Have any other ideas?

What game system uses the least amount of energy, which uses the least?
What game systems are naturually Earth friendly like rechargable
mabye we should have more naturual gas powered vehicles(we have the cars, but alot of states dont offer the gas)
I threw away a can I found On earthday. too bad it wasnt in a recycable container
alot of towns are getting recycling containers, has your city gotten one yet.
Have any earthday stories, there wasnt much gowing on like earthday movies, I believe disney came out with a movie for earthday last year.

1. stop playing the game gear for one day(great)
2. stop playing the game gear and switch to the gameboy(ok)
3. dont leave game console on over night to save spot in game
4. walk to the game store
5. turn off suround sound system
6. use a book instead of a online walthrough
7. log off of racketboy for 1 day
8.lower tv volume
9. stop replaying levels
10. play 1 system at a time

Not playing the Game Gear sounds like a pretty good idea.

Rechargeable batteries (also saves a ton of money) and one of those power switch thingies that you can shut down once you finish playing on a console that uses an AC adaptor (and I believe its better for the lifespan of the AC adaptor when it isnt constantly hot)

The single most beneficial thing you can do in terms of energy on Earth Day is write a letter to your local government representatives expressing your absolute demands that they support the abandonment of fossil fuels as the main source of energy in your country.

And DEMAND that they support funding into research and development on existing techniques, theoretical techniques, and various construction projects to actually build these new style plants, or to retro-fit old ones.

This is the single most important thing you could to help energy issues.

You could also install some solar panels on your house so you wouldn't HAVE to purposefully reduce your own energy consumption.

It's a fundamentally screwed up idea that because other individuals are taking the greedy or cheap way out of the energy equation, you have to account for their irresponsibility. The savings is also only slightly minimal, and the general practices are things you should adapt to your lives, not a specific day of the year so you can feel good about yourself.

In short. I'm not doing a damn thing differently. I already have my priorities straight when it comes to energy concerns on the planet and ecosystem welfare. I am from Oregon after all ... it's kinda like a way of life here.

the game gear takes 6 batteries and lasts 6 hours right, and the lyx takes 6 and lasts probally 8 hours, and the gameboy takes 4 and lasts 24 hours, the gba takes 2 and lasts 48 hours, and the ds systems are rechargable thats why the game gear is funny.

that doesnt have alot to do with video games, but anyway, a few car companies are looking into steam powered engines, cars in the 30s ran off of steam at 40 mph and some car companies plan on having naturaul/fossil fueled cars that the 2 engines alternated between in 2012.
