his reviews are bad enough to be funny..check out the mortal kombat review he can´t read "press start" on the screen instead he bitches about how none of buttons work until he finally figures out to press start And also he is unsure on how to hook up a console seems to take him a while to find the right channel on the tv but we do get a chance to catch whats on cnn and sidscrollers are confusing there is no way to know where to go.

Definetly the worst reviewing ever to grace youtube.

But yeah most reviews on youtube consist of some guy playing some crappy game and screaming how bad it is and in most cases it´s an unlicensed nes game no one has even heard of.
But then why bother reviewing it if it´s obvioulsy bad then it´s not reviewing it´s stating the obvius. Like that horrible Action 52 nes game that game didn need an review as soon as you see it you know it´s crap.

I think that's one of the first times I've heard someone make the majority of their argument based on their lack of skill.

He doesn't like it because he sucks, he even says that he can't get past the first level in his review.

Still, I suppose it's reasonable for the kid to dislike the game - I haven't actually played the NES Contra, because I don't actually play NES games anymore (don't hurt me), but from what I've heard, the game is almost impossible to make it past the first level, let alone complete it, without THE CODE.

As much I enjoyed James work, I am starting to find his stuff to be stale, as for the wannabe's I am trying to avoid those kind of videos, I do like the little more serious reviewers like Little Miss Gamer, Happy Video Game Nerd, MJCreviews (RIP), Lee of Still Gaming ect. ect.

I am hoping some day that I will start my own video game review show, I basically want to avoid the cliches, I want to be a breath of fresh air (like when I found the HVGN), but the problem with me is that I am too lazy to write reviews and make videos, plus I have a job.

MGC was awesome. For me, I listen to Darkness the Curse, Tolstoykafkaevsky, AVGN, an occational SpoonyOne, and InecomCompany (Classic Game Room)

I agree, it's really not hard. It takes the same skills to beat Contra that it does any other video game.

Also, since everyone is talking about people on youtube, I thought that I guess I should this a good thread to tell about the YouTube series I've been pondering over.
I'm going to call it Piece of Shit PC Games. Now, I'm not trying to do the AVGN thing here where I get angry at a game, swear about dumb ass reasons why it sucks* and maybe if I'm not lazy, destroy the game. My videos are going to focus more on the game, not the guy hating the games (me). There's not going to be much recording of me at all. I will swear, but not to the point of being gratuitous. My way of doing it is pretty much going to be "This game sucks and here's why, dammit."

Here's a synopsis over part of my first video.

I give a little bit of history over Aliens vs. Predator.
I pop the game into my disc drive and install the game.
I start the game and show how fucked the graphics are (a problem with the game on modern computers).
I fiddle around with the settings, showing that the game will say that I have insufficient video memory.
I install Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament, which came out in 1999, same year as AvP and show that they work.
I enter "Aliens vs. Predator in WinXP" into google and start a long search.
Me clicking a result on google showing that it will not work in WinXP.
Camera records me drinking a bottle of Mountain Dew in the morning.
I click on another result, saying that the game will not work in WinXP.
-wash rinse repeat-
Camera shows me hunched over my desk with many bottles of various caffeinated beverages.
(I'm planning to have this be more entertaining to watch than to read )

I know what I'm going to do for the rest of the video, I'm just not sure what points I want to emphasize.

*The main occurrence of this that pops into my mind is "I can't land the plane in Top Gun. I'm too damn stupid to read the manual or look up online that you have to have your speed and altitude match the numbers on the right." Although, I liked the humor behind fuel plane section.

yeah he pretty much plagerizes james rolfe almost word for word.. he even reviews some of the same games. theres a ton of shit about it on the web, and apprarently the guy, chris bores is like crazy and deletes peoples comments if they mention AVGN and gets them banned from youtube or something. its pretty stupid.

Damn. That guy sucks. And I thought The Angry Video Game Fag was the worst. At least the fag has one decent video (although, you need to watch his first video to get the only joke that's really worth laughing at). I don't know why, but this Irate Gamer guy seems like both a spazz and a lazy ass.
