console games like world of warcraft.
i would love it if WOW came to a console but sadly that will probably never happen. i dont play wow any more but are there any games out there on consoles like wow, the closest i got was borderlands, that games exactly like wow with guns.

Depends on what parts of WoW you are looking to have copied, but Xenoblade Chronicles might be a good choice to try. In some ways, it feels quite a bit like a single-player MMO.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning was originally intended to me an MMO, so it might be another consideration. White Knight Chronicles as well.

Which part of WoW exactly would you like to see? Arena? World PvP? Battlegrounds? PvE? Artistic style? Some certain zone in particular you like? Storyline?
Why does it have to be ib console? PC has a lot more western RPGs. If you care about WoW lore, then you must play Warcraft games if you havent played them yet, but they are on PC. Warcraft II was ported to Saturn and Playstation but those are inferioir versions of the game. You can still play Warcraft 3 and Frozen Throne online and there is a great deal of different mods for it. And competitive scene too.

Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

Final Fantasy XI is an MMORPG for PS2 and Xbox 360, if that's what you want.

Re: console games like world of warcraft.
I'll echo that Kingdom of Amalur and Xenoblade are good choices for WoW-ish games. It's pretty tough to find an absolute fit though since there are so many different aspects of WoW, and I'm not sure if any one game encapsulates them all. I'd be half tempted to say some of the Monster Hunter games are vaguely WoW-esque if for no other reason than that you're constantly hunting down better gear.

I seem to recall a rumour of WoW appearing on the 360 and PS3 at some point.

There's also FF XII, which feels very MMO-ish, but I would say Xenoblade is better in just about every way.
Another game I'll mention is Dark Souls, although it doesn't feel all that MMO-ish, it has the multi-player aspect going on big time. If you're playing online, you're constantly connected to other players' worlds, and can interact with them in numerous ways, both PvP and co-op.
If you're looking for a single-player experience that delivers an MMO-like experience, definitely Xenoblade, FF XII, and White Knight Chronicles. If you're looking for an actual MMO for consoles, FF XI, DC Universe, and the upcoming console version of FF XIV.
