New 2D coming to Wii... no not MM9...

Post by PharmaceuticalCowboy »

I'm kinda suprised there's not a topic about this on here. There's a new 2D retail game coming to Wii: Wario Land: Shake It. Check out the screens and stuff at wiifanboy... (http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/2008/07/09/new-screens-and-video-for-wario-land-shake-it/). I am personally pretty excited, but haven't really been pulled into a Wario Land game since the first, however this looks to be exceptionally fun and it's always good to support the use of 2D sprites and hand-drawn art!

The GBA Warioland 4 is actually one of the most impressive GBA titles, graphically, musically, and otherwise.

I'm really excited that this game is coming out. I had almost lost all hope for the Wii.

Yes it is a great game.
I haven't played the older ones, but it seems that 4 deviates a bit from those.

I was just watching a live video stream of the JP version, animations look very nice, I am definitly picking this game up. I am very happy with the direction they took this new Wario game, alot of care seems to have gone into serving hardcore platformer fans craving a game that goes back to the style we loved so much and not adding weapons or any gimmicky crap (I'm looking at you Sonic and the Black Knight!)
