Might want to wait for ATI to resurrect their All-in-wonder card series.

They were always considered the best TV/capture cards back in the day.

Re: Video Capture Hardware
Bringing some life because I have a question on the subject.
I need to record just about a couple of minutes of footage. Will the cheap ones like this work?

Yes they will! Picture could be better but they aren't bad for what they are. I use something similar.
Re: Video Capture Hardware
While for there money easycap, dazzle and similar usb devices are great (only for the $5 AUD I would pay for one) but only if you have composite OUT on your TV (so you could record yourself using component cables via composite, much better quality that just composite) but if you have more than $5 to spend, I highly advise you spend it on a real capture device.
Re: Video Capture Hardware
Figured I'd resurrect this thread. I'm looking into starting a video show about games (either new games or old games) don't want to reveal too much just now but the idea is quite mature, I've been working on it with a friend for quite some time now. I want to know what the best capture card/device would be for recording up to HD footage. I'm not bothered about lag but I must be able to sync it up to what we are saying using Premier, I'm using a couple of AT4050s to record the speech through my MOTU828.
