As awesome as I think Razzmatazz's response here was(YES! YES! YES!), I do agree with the King. I think a lot of people found the Wrestlemania performance racially offensive, but I guess like everything else with Clay's gimmick, maybe that was the point. If the fact that he can't dance is supposed to make him funny, I prefer the Rikishi approach where you were surprised by the fact that he actually could dance.

As for Tensai, I was willing to give the gimmick a chance until I saw who was under the mask. C'mon, I just can't buy into Albert as a super Asian guy and clearly many people in the audience can't either. This might work really well for some new Asian talent, especially if the guy can't speak english or has no mic skills, but this just is Albert in silly make up. I want more Zigglers, Jerichos and Punks. These gimmick characters like Clay and Tensai aren't doing it for me. You can do a gimmick well (see Kane), but we aren't seeing much of that in the WWE lately. I miss Rikishi and Hurricane Helms. Those were gimmicks done well. Maybe I'm just biased

I saw some pretty badass in ring action, way better than what I usually see in the WWE. And can I just say, Maria Kanellis is one of the most gorgeous females I've ever seen walking on God's green earth. Seriously, that girl is in perfect 10 territory. I want my future wife to look like her
I stood next to her waiting for the in-airport shuttle to the gate in Miami after Wrestlemania. She was rocking the green Cena t-shirt 8)
It's kind of what we already knew, chicks and kids dig Cena. Adult males, generally speaking of course, don't. Maria's so hot, I can overlook that. She used to light up the screen when she was in the WWE and she's still as hot now.

Notice most of the top guys in the WWE don't need gimmicks, with the exceptions of Kane and Undertaker, who are just so damn good at their gimmicks. For all the other top guys though, their characters are an extension of their own personalities. Matt Bloom needs to find his (just like Morrison needed to). Speaking of lame gimmicks....

I still hate Brodus Clay. His dancing girls have more moves than he does. Maybe they should have just had one of them do his gimmick and have her join the divas division. Anyone notice that the very beginning of Clay's theme music echoes Too Cool and Rikishi's music, the guys who were waaay better at this gimmick than Clay is (Rikishi could certainly out dance Clay). Okay, maybe I don't hate Clay, but this gimmick is going nowhere. I will give Clay props for one thing though. That headbutt on Ziggler last week at the top of the ramp looked pretty badass.

I liked Cena on this episode Raw. I very much like it when we have vulnerable, not so sure of himself Cena. It's arrogant, cocky Cena that gets on my nerves. Right now Cena's feud with Lesner feels a bit like the one he had with Batista. Back when Batista claimed that Cena couldn't beat him and Cena acknowledged that Batista might be right. Faces are so much more interesting when they are at a disadvantage and I like that the announcers are doing such a good job of pointing out that Cena's loss to the Rock may have hurt his career and his confidence.

See, I don't hate Cena when he is used properly. I think he should lose at Extreme Rules and also get injured by Brock. Of course, I mean a fake injury. Brock needs to keep momentum on his side and an injured, defeated Cena is more interesting than the usual, carefree, one we usually get. Same goes for Punk, this Jericho feud has made him a bit more interesting now that Jericho has taken his cocky, smartass attitude away from him. Although Jericho's promo this week was a bit redundant. Still, I like this feud for the intense, angry version of CM Punk we are seeing. Wisecracking Punk is great, but like anything else, was getting a bit stale.

Heels should always dominate, with faces getting the occasional victory when necessary to keep the audience from losing interest. That's how I would book things if I were in the WWE. I think Brock injuring Cena would also fit with the idea That Brock is a badass, former UFC fighter. I'd like to see that. Make Cena's eventual victory over Brock seem hard fought and earned, assuming we ever actually see Cena beat Brock.
I haven't watched last night's Raw yet, but I wanted to just add my thoughts on the Brodus Clay and Lord Tensai situation. For me, every time they come out it's clear they are going to win. I mean, Lord Tensai has gone up against Alex Riley and then Yoshi Tatsu. If this guy dominated the competition in Japan (which Lawler admitted is one of the toughest in the world) then why put him up against these guys who haven't won squat. It's obvious to ANYBODY that they will win. I know I know, it's meant to make them look dominant or dangerous but it's not only boring and predictable, you are effectively burying these guys.
How long have you been watching the WWE? Squash matches are pretty normal.

Razz is too smart for the WWE. The fact is, smart people (i.e. 10% of the WWE audience) don't buy in to a guy being a monster just because he can beat a jobber like Alex Riley, but the WWE doesn't get that. If you wanted us to believe that Tensei is a monster and really have him make an impact, he should have went up against Cena in his first match. The fact that he has to work his way up through guys like Riley doesn't lend credence to the idea that he's already beaten the toughest guys in the world in Japan

but it's pro wrestling, little makes sense.

Plus, it takes balls to just have a new guy come in and squash your top guy and nothing about WWE screams testicular fortitude these days. Things are usually done in a formulaic and predictable way.

That's my point, for us wrestling fans who remember tuning into WCW (man I feel old, and I'm only 25) sometimes watching WWE makes me feel stupid. The way Cena always explains a storyline. The new guys like Tensai and Clay (and before this Sheamus) who destroy opponets who are half the size of them. Ignoring the first Triple H v Undertaker match at Wrestlemania during the whole build up to the last two they had. Don't get me wrong, Wrestlemania 28 was the best one in a while, but I suppose it's the little things that irritate me and numerous others on this thread.
One of my friends who is a massive Brock Lesnar fan, has been asking for Lesnar to return for years, saying he should come back and destroy the roster etc etc. When he does, first thing he said "he looks out of shape, he struggled with that F5".
Us wrestling fans are fickle :)

Sometimes I really hate the WWE

"Fans in attendance at Tuesday's SmackDown tapings in London, England report that WWE crew members were trying to get fans to stop chanting "YES!""

http://allwrestling.com/news/42254/otun ... tes-title/

How dare you tell the people who put food on your table what they can and can't chant! Maybe you should try listening to them. Your current champion (Sheamus) is ridiculously boring right now.

Since Smackdown is taped, i'd image we'll see a lot of dubbed crowd noise then. Kind of like how they used to make every Morrison match look great.

There are a lot of things wrong with how Cena cuts promos. He has his moments though, but he could learn a lot from a guy like HBK. I'm just glad he put Lesnar over as a legit threat though.

Del Rio's promos are the worst.

I love that Lesnar interview

"I'm not a superstar. I'm an asskicker"

I like seeing no bullshit characters like that, like Mark Henry was last year.

Yeah, I don't like that with Smackdown. They try to control everything and give you a fake show, unlike Raw. Raw gives you a much better barometer of what fans are thinking since you don't have WWE brainwashing in effect.
