After suggesting to Racketboy yesterday that we should start playing two games at a time, he has agreed to do so. You can view the conversation on page two and three of the "Together Retro: The Official Forum Thread".
Here is the plan. One game will continue to be what Racketboy sets up. These games will be non-RPG games. The time period for these games will vary, but generally be brief. The other game will be a pre-PS2 era RPG. The time frame for these games will be one and a half to two months.
Racketboy and I would like to ask for your input as to which RPG should be played first. He has requested to keep Chrono Trigger off the list until the DS version comes out.
My vote goes to Xenogears as I just recently started playing and am thirteen hours into it.
Share your RPG choice!! The RPG that gets the most votes will be the RPG we play.

In addition to RPGs, these could be adventure or story-driven games that may require a month or more on our schedule...

I'd personally sugest Valkyrie Profile, it's one of my favourite RPGs and i'm always up for re-playing it again plus it's vastly underated, despite being one of the most unique RPGs i've ever played - the PSX version sells for quite alot nowadays, but given the state of PSX emulation and the re-released version on PSP it should be fairly easy for people to get their hands on.
Others i'd suggest; Terranigma, Bahamut Lagoon or Tales of Phantasia

Valkyrie Profile would be cool, but really....

I may suggest either of the two genesis titles. I actually just started 2 yesterday but only played it for like 20 minutes.
I know alot of people were voting for earthbound in earlier posts....
Star Ocean the second story. It has like 80 different endings and tons of characters to aquire as long as you do the right things. It might be fun to discuss which ending you got and how the different characters affects the story/ending. Of course it wouldnt be expected for everyone to reach level 200 and beat the secret dungeon or anything.

Are PC games allowed? If so, then I nominate Albion, one of the most underrated RPG's of all time.
The interface is good for a CRPG from the mid-nineties and has a "console-like" feel to it which makes it accessible to everyone.
