I'll bet it will be this kids favorite game

Also the guy in the commercial reminds me of Live action goku from the shitty movie, all he needs is the spiky hair.

I'm pretty sure that the box art in the game is not final.

dont worry you'll get your angry goku on the cover.

Namco-bandai is still debating on who this game will cater to, the 5-12 year olds or the normal anime fan?

Jesus lord, that box art is terrible. What were people saying about how everyone is too quick to dismiss the Kinect again? At least the PS3 got a couple badass light gun ports out of its waggles.

What's so bad about the art? Its Goku, Gohan, and Goten, and they're happy instead of the usual yelling. Maybe its too simple, but I don't think its bad.
It looks like they're breaking the fourth wall and playing the game itself. Not only that, but the word "for" is nearly illegible. It's so bad, it's good; this *almost* tops MM1's NA box art.

I don't see what's wrong with the boxart. It looks perfectly fine. I'd put my stamp of approval on that and ship the game with it.

Still, the game looks lame, but that's pretty much my kinect bias talking. I don't think even 12 year old me would like the Kinect. He'd probably watch that commercial and say, "dude, that looks gay. Want to play some Street Fighter or something?"

Do people still care about DBZ? I mean I know it was the shit at one time, but I'm amazed by the longevity of stuff like DBZ and Pokemon. Seriously. I remember when they were all the rage and we're long past that.

They're advertising newly remade episodes as "new" to kids, no idea how well it's working though.

I heard they took out all the filler... But then what are you left with?

Overall it's not bad. What's weird is that you'll watch the new series and feel like it's still slow paced, despite about 2/3 of it being cut out. I can't even imagine what the original would be like to watch now.

It wasn't so bad when you were able to catch an episode a day like I did when I first watched it. The slower pacing made everything more epic, and you would eventually get your pay off.

Imagine DBZ today though as a once a week show like Young Justice or Green Lantern, with the occasional break consisting of weeks of reruns. I think people would just give up on it

I loved DBZ back then. It was silly and ridiculous, but at the time I was just into the super epic fights and transformations and didn't really mind. I sort of have a nostalgic appreciation for it, but it's well past its prime. I can't believe people are still trying to make money off it. Isn't Naruto the new DBZ anyway? Another action fest anime that all the kids are into. DBZ for the current generation?

DBZ was everything when I was younger. It really takes me back to remember that Toonami used to be on weekdays and not just weekends. Nostalgia is a big part of it for me as well because looking back on it, it is definitely a flawed series.

It was definitely like that for a little while, but Naruto functions a lot differently than DBZ used to. One of the biggest differences for this generation is that without a program like Toonami, there isn't really much of a mainstream media outlet for anime on TV anymore. Kids these days have internet streaming as their main means of access to anime. One of the things that assisted DBZ's widespread popularity was the fact that it was on Cartoon Network, one of the primary sources for kids' media. Everyone had a somewhat automatic exposure to it. It'll be a while before anything manages to replicate the type of cultural impact DBZ had I believe, unless the way media functions changes so much that it's not really possible anymore (which is a real possibility).

Also Naruto's gotten into the type of rut a lot of Shonen Jump franchises end up in lately, which I imagine is hurting its popularity.
