Very pretty. If you don't mind my asking, is that a real chimney?
Yes sir.

From around two or three years ago:

You have no idea how obedient Ripley is. The "lay" command was originally "play sorority girl", (it still can be) but my wife prefers the command lay.

Ripley is a rescue dog that was previously owned by a drug dealer. Took only a few months to rehabilitate her, and she's always by my side when allowed. I doubt she'll be around for much longer (she's over 13 in "people years") but she still has a lot of spunk and can outrun me while I'm on a bike.

+1 vote for this. Using Trex or some other composite lumber would be the cheapest way to go.

I like the shed you have. Was that done by the company that built the house? I have an existing shed that is a piece of crap. My project for this year is to build a new shed (16'x12') like this one:

Ticked off: Argentina expropiates (read: steals) Spanish petrol company. Of course, it's for the country. And the megabucks the politicians involved are going to get.

Is Argentina getting full of themselves again? I guess their humiliation in the Falklands war has worn off.

Nationalizing oil companies is hardly associated with "getting full of themselves".

They think they're big enough stuff to steal a foreign oil company.

Thanks Duder!

Just worked on the back yard today as well. Refilled the bird feeders, planted a few more flowers, cleaned the bird bath, and added hanging flower baskets.

A view of most of the back yard:

The feeder replenishing is in full swing for us too. The finches drain the nyjer feeders in a matter of a few days in my backyard.

I forget how sandy the soil in NC is. Do you mulch with tan bark? We have some friends in the Wilmington area that use that needle much for their landscaping. I think it adds an interesting texture to the yard. The only way to get it here in the NE is shipping, which is expensive, obviously, and not very practical.

@Luke

You need a bigger house for 1 kiddo? Isn't that like a 5-6 bedroom?

I figured when he said "pushes a little one out" he meant a high school marching band. So yeah. He's gonna need a bigger house.
