My only dislike is the fact that Mann tries to create sympathetic characters out of the supporting ones that don't really need it.BoringSupreez wrote:Heat
A great crime movie. Didn't feel too long, even though it was three hours longs.

The King's Speech
This isn't the kind of movie I typically have much of an interest in. Still, I took the time to see it based on all the acclaim it has received and I would agree that it is a very good movie. It's not one I see myself watching again, but I think the writing and the performances were all very good. It's a quality film, nothing I can complain about really. Though I can see it being boring to some people who don't care about historical, period pieces or have no fascination with the act of helping people with speech impediments.
I've been catching Scott Pilgrim again on the HBO channels. I still love that movie. I'm picking up on cool little things I missed before on these repeat viewings. I think I've seen it about three or four times total now.

Norton certainly beefed up for that role.BoringSupreez wrote:American History X
Another great movie. Didn't see that ending coming.
Used to love AHX, now it's a little silly (you have to admit the basketball scene was wayyy over the top). Still, a great message and anytime someone gets a Brooklyn Smile it is a sight to see.
May want to spoiler your text though.

Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels
I liked Snatch, and so of course this one was great as well. Very similar in style, and even used one or two of the same actors. Seemed a tad more serious than Snatch, but still an excellent and funny movie. Also, I loved the camera work when the machine gun was being shot. I often don't like slo-mo in movies, but it looked right in this instance.
And interestingly, there's actually an Arse Tickler's Faggots Fan Club on Steam.

So looking forward to VAMPS, starring Alicia Silverstone, written by the same writer from CLUELESS and FAST TIMES. Not sure if I can wait until October.

THE BAYTOWN DISCO
I'm sorry, but this looks amazing. A grindhouse styled movie with a strong bit of redneck fun thrown in. Looks great. And it has Billy Bob Thornton!!

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Recently saw the movie "RAN" on netflix and i have to say its a very good movie.
Its a film adaptation of King Lear reimagine with Japanese Warlords.
Screenplay By: Masato Ide, Akira Kurosawa, & Hideo Oguni
Directed By: Akira Kurosawa

The main Lord"Lord Hidetora Ichimonji" of the land before he divided it and gave it to his son.
Hes looks crazy in this picture because his sons betrayed him.

The Sons are on the left side wearing yellow, red, and blue shirt.

The action is great in this movie, if you enjoyed Brave Heart action then this movie will not let you down.

Overall rating for Ran - 9/10

FAST TIMES the tv series. I can see why my last post would cause confusion.latenitevacancy wrote:Luke wrote:So looking forward to VAMPS, starring Alicia Silverstone, written by the same writer from CLUELESS and FAST TIMES. Not sure if I can wait until October.

Watched UP! last night. Not sure how many times I've watched this movie, but it still leaves me a wreck after watching it.
