Slowdown is definitely still there. It still doesn't play as smooth as the DC version, but the slowdown feels more genuine, if that makes sense.

That makes sense. Its not so bad that it seems like your 360 is breaking, but its still different(?)

I don't know if I would say that, but it definitely feels less artificial. Before the patch, there were several sections where the slowdown would hit just before a hairy situation. Like, "heads up, there are a shit ton of enemies coming up, bullet time initiated." Now things slowdown when you're actually in the hairy situation, feeling more like a hardware limitation and less like an accommodation for... noobs.

And there is less slowdown overall.

Ah ok, thank you for checking that for me.

It looks like the DC port will have to do for now. :(

Yeah, I'm torn between the two. I think that gameplay wise the DC version is the definitive. However, the updated textures and the addition of the New Order mode and all of the extra options in the PS360 HD version make it feel more complete (especially now that the patch has resolved the SD sizing issue). That said, Under Defeat HD feels worth the $80+ I spent on it. Under Defeat for Dreamcast doesn't. Talking value here.

Woo! I finally 1CC'd my way to the 4th boss. That was a damned good run. I really felt like I could work my way to a complete 1CC after that (not counting the loop). I finally found a reliable way to quick kill the 3rd stage mid-boss and the 3rd stage boss (different methods). Those two have been a serious issue for me. I also have a hard time no-missing the 2nd stage. I always fall asleep at the stick and run into a fucking bullet.

Supposedly this game is coming to the PAL regions via Rising Star Games.

Hope its true. If so, there may be a chance RSG brings it over to the state as well considering they were nice enough to release AK out here.
