XBox 360: The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition (4/17)

Post by J T »

Hello Xbox 360 people. I don't own your console of choice, but I am visiting this forum as an ambassador of PC Gamers to tell you to buy this game when it is released in April. :P This is one of the best RPGs I have ever played.

Watch the trailers, as they are grand:

And if you're a PC gamer, don't worry. You will get the enhanced addition DLC at NO COST. :D

That's cool. I wanted to play this on PC of course but the beastly system requirements have been holding me back.

One of the patches helped optimize the game, so it's not as intense as it used to be, but yes, it's a pretty demanding game for your GPU.

I've been interested in this series since I first heard of it. Now that the second game is coming to 360 and I finally have a computer capable of playing the first one I'm gonna be jumping in as soon as I get around to buyin' em.

I just really hope none of the content is censored in the console version.

This will probably be a Day 1 purchase on the Xbox 360 for me. It sounds fantastic!

Here is a tech article comparing the Xbox360 and PC versions:

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digit ... h-analysis

The XBox360 is surprisingly holding its own pretty well. It still doesn't appear to have the resolution power of PC, but some of the tweaks to the graphics engine almost appear to have improved lighting effects. Actually, I turn bloom and motion blur effects off on my PC version because I think the game looks better without them. Apparently, the PC will also receive tweaks to the graphics engine when the PC enhanced edition releases along with the 360 release.

I'm sorry, but I can't help but see PC elitists grumbling over how the game can actually run-and, according to this, better- than the original version on PC. (I do understand they get the Enhanced Edition though)

The textures I saw in 360 screenshots looked like ass compared to the PC *shrug*
