I do it every time but sometimes you just need the money! And since I don't own much else besides games...

I knew you'd regret selling your systems....but oh well a guitar is a good investment. You can play it even if there is no electricity, thats why acoustics and hollow bodies are my favorite. Strats are ok....they sound and play good. Trust me if you were able to play my uncles 1963 strat you'd probably have some affection for it. As for me, my current electric is my favorite. It's a 1966 Mosrite Celebrity III(looks like the 67 pictured here). I love it, except I want to put an new sadle with a whammy bar on it someday like the model 1 celebrity.

I sold my NES back in the day, after getting a Genesis. Got a whole $14 for the system and like a dozen games. Being 12, I thought that was an awesome deal. I've since bought everything back, and then some, but I still think it was worth doing. I needed that money more then than I do now.

Huge regret now for selling my ps1 which I moded myself with the help of my dad. At the time seemed so reasonable but I was not that much into keeping stuff and needed the money supposedly for a ps2 which I bought about 2 years after selling the ps1. To this day I still try every time I see the guy to buy it back!

When I was little we had a big atari 2600 collection, a coleco, texas instrument computer, atari computers, and so on with lots and lots of games and also have huge regret for not having the space to keep it all and not having a future vision of how I would treasure that stuff now. Think we gave it away to charity or something. I'm just glad we made someone happy. But now I wouldn't sell any of my consoles unless I have an extra one.
Consoles: NES, Famicom, SNES, GC, GB DMG, GB Pocket, GBC, GBA, DSI XL, N64, VBoy, NDS, 3DSXL, Wii, SMS, GEN+CD+32X, GG, SAT, DC, WS, WS Color, NGPC, XBOX, 360, PS1, PSone, PS2, PSP, PS3, 3DO, CD-I, NGCD, Actionmax, TG16+CD, TE, PCE-DUO, Odyssey2, Playdia, 2600, Lynx & JAG.

i have a saturn with a broken mod chip that racket said i could return a while ago but it's been so long that i probably missed the boat on that one :(

i also have a dreamcast with a big ol spindle of backups and homebrew.

that's actually all i have at the moment. occasionally i'll play a game on my pc but i rarely install those things anymore. i find more pleasure in studying and collecting games than i do actually playing them. there have been countless threads about that topic though.

but yeah, fuck fender guitars forever. the only one i'd ever play would be a tele and it'd have to be pretty meaty sounding for my taste. strats just sound so thin to me and play like crud. i'm not a bluesy kind of player so that might have something to do with it.

though im mad at myself for selling the original nes (i got for it now they are re-selling it for 60 bux!!!) i managed to get a yobo FC twin for 20 bux giving me the NES and SNES back (its compatable w/ the original snes's controllers but not the nes's unfortunately but hey i still get to play Mario and Duck Hunt!) Eventually i might get a dreamcast back as well as a genesis combo but for now im satisfied, the only problem i can really see w/ the FCTwin though is its a bit picky on how you put the game in.

edit: i wasnt sure but is 60 bux for an original NES+PAD+GUN+SMB,Duckhunt, Track and Field, + 2 original controllers a good deal? also duck hunt doesnt work on the FCTwin

*raises hand*

happens to me, when I sold my SNES back when eBay was the new thing, the main reason why I sold it is because I needed the money and I was happy with my PS1. Until 5 years after I sold it, I had the feeling of regret, I just simply missed the system, even emulators just not do its justice, luckly last year I have re-obtained my SNES and just felt like meeting an old friend that you have not seen in years.
