I believe the genesis version is even closer to the arcade.markeconrad wrote:Cool! Didn't know that.emwearz wrote:Or emulate the Sega Master System version (Which is better than the NES version IMO).markeconrad wrote:You could MAME the original for 2 player.

Here.Flake wrote:Oh, you're right. And now I cannot find the video I thought I was linking to. It was, iirc, some Canadian girl comparing Double Dragon on the NES, SMS, and I think she mentioned the TG-16 version too. Not sure where that video is, though.KDub wrote:Well no that wasn't a RetrowareTV contributor, just a user submission. It was a good episode though, we've featured Joe before as an R Dub Spotlight.

Admitted, I am a biased Sega fanboy, but that lady needs a boyfriend. Then she´d value 2 player co-op more
And the music in the SMS is groovin´, but you´ll need a Japanese Master System or something with FM-Music enabled.
You´ll be the judge
SMS
NES
This was my first SMS game. Me and my brother played the hell out of it. Good times

Oh yeah, I forgot Rinry did one on the subject as well. She did a few SMS vs NES videos I believe. Don't think that one of hers was ever on the site, just had the Sim Ants and Commander Keen 4 reviews.Flake wrote:That's the one.wip3outguy7 wrote:Here.

I am pretty sure her Double Dragon one was featured on Retroware - I can't think of how else I would have come across it. As far as gaming videos go, retroware is pretty much the only site I use.KDub wrote:Oh yeah, I forgot Rinry did one on the subject as well. She did a few SMS vs NES videos I believe. I definitely don't recall featuring it though, she was out on her own at that point and don't think she had a "user blog" on the old site. *shrug* It is getting hard to remember everything though, so maybe. Her and I use to cross promote stuff a lot so it is indeed possible.
