IIRC, there is a downgrader for 6.60; although, I doubt you'll need to downgrade.

Thanks to that excellent tutorial, I was able to upgrade to 6.60 and then install the homebrew enabler which works exactly like TN on 6.20. Thanks Opa opa.

But I do have a problem. I'm able to access homebrew emulators and programs just fine, but now none my my PSP games work. They boot, but then freeze and the PSP crashes. I'm guessing this has something to do with the way this 6.60 exploit works differently from the 6.20 one.

Where do PSP isos go on the memory stick directory? In 6.20 TN, they'd just go in the PSP/GAME folder along with everything else. If that's no longer the case, where exactly should they go and is there any sort of patching that's required now?

Create a folder titled ISO in the root of the memory stick.
Put your ISO and CSO files in there.

ISOs and CSOs go in PSP/ISO. EBOOTS go in PSP/GAME/(game folder)

Here's a guide.

After reading this thread i decided it was time to soft-mod my PSP Slim 3001, and i am shocked at how easy it is now, last time i looked into it was when you had to use a pandora battery. Now im cruisin with SNES9X TYL, PicoDrive, gpSP Kai, and downloaded a few ISO's ive been meaning to test out like Ys Seven and Corpse Party, CFW 6.60 PRO-B10 is sweet stuff.

Also im pleased at how Super Mario RPG and a few other hard to emulate games can run on SNES9X TYL, SNES9X Euphoria seems to be slightly inferior.

why wouldn't you buy Ys 7 and Corpse Party and encourage more games like them be localized?

Im pretty sure Ys 7 is out of print and the only new copies would be from people who actually bought it already, and Corpse Party is DLC.

Also if you dont like people talking about CFW why isnt this thread locked? why else would you need CFW if you arent going to pirate?

Buy Ys 7 directly from XSeed.

Ys 7 is also on PSN... and so is Corpse Party.

There's no reason to steal them.

To make legal backups of your software...
... and you can also program your own PSP applications, games, etc.

For the record, I had to redownload all my purchased PS1 games from the PSN directly via my PSP...Sony's upgrated the PS3 firmware to not allow you to copy PS1 games to the PSP at all. Super annoying - it took several hours to do this when it should have meant several minutes as I already had all the files downloaded.

Since I can actually play all the latest UMDs now without worrying about firmware, I want to pick up some PSP games released in the past two years that are worth playing. As I mentioned I have Ys 1 & 2 Chronicles, but I'm sure there are other games worth getting that saw recent release. Any recommendations?

As well, I'd like to buy a bigger battery for my 3000. I know you can fit the big 1000 batteries into the 3000 and they bulge; has Sony made a higher capacity slimline battery for the 2000/3000?
