Looks like the monitor goes back to vert...

I'll be on by the weekend.
I've finally been bitten by the shmup bug, and whats more satisfying that beating your own high score? beating somebody else's thats what :D

I can't play in tate mode as I don't have a screen that I can easily stand on its side. Think its time to get find a CRT, need something to play my light gun games on anyway

Super strong bullet cancelling goku stick? Win!

Character riding a cloud too... cuttin it kinda close there Psikyo.
Yeah she is definitely the strongest character.

I've been practicing with Tetsu before as I wanted to get out of the habit of using the bomb as a panic button and learning how to dodge the patterns properly, but he's just to slow for me to get anywhere on diff.5

I've played like total shit tonight and destroyed a few promising runs with a bunch of silly mistakes. Despite that though, I've managed to nail a few areas that were causing me trouble before - like the train boss, I can get past it now without dying and using just 1 bomb. I always forget that in the final form the ball and chain fires a spread of bullets from behind, I panic and hit the bomb the first time he does it.

Nice start! Ill update when I get home, postin on the phone.

@Noise: not really any scoring mechs in this one. You do lose your final powerup over time, and powerups are worth a good amount... so collect em quick-ish?

Taking apart each of the bosses parts gives points, so that's a good thing to work on after you get comfortable with the early bosses.

Some of The bosses parts drop powerups too.

Still need to see what the loop req is.

As far as I know, you lose no points for bombing, although at the end of the first loop, you may get points for bombs remaining.

I would bomb to save yourself. Psikyo games eventually had that pop up when you lost your credit.

"Why aren't you bombing? Bomb to save yourself. Bomb Away!"

Or something like that.

Scores updated, I need to pop this in the cab.

It's a hard game isn't it? Or is it just me... I've had a few runs toniht and scores are nowhere near as high as I thought they used to be! LOL

Gonna stick with it though and try to get a score worth posting!

309500 - CurlyPaul- 4 - Yuan Nang - Saturn

Getting better but I must try harder, still making loads of silly mistakes. I like how the first levels are random, adds a bit of variety when playing over and over although some levels are harder than others to start of with no power ups.
