Woot! Yay for contribution. And the added page views / ad revenue it generates for the site!alienjesus wrote:Smile: My first article for the site is up on the main page now: http://www.racketboy.com/retro/nintendo ... ners-guide
Smile: The person I want to take to see a show has given a very strong maybe, almost a probably. I'll take it!
Frown: I hate this habit I have of over-analyzing things. Really gets in the way of just relaxing.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Smile: Obama may be far from the best President ever, but how can you not love the guy:
Obama clarifies once again that Kanye West is a jackass.
Rock on President. Rock on.

TICKED: Woke up early to register for classes. Everything I want is filled (since I'm not a matriculated student I had to wait a couple of days to sign up). I have no idea why effing online classes are capped at such a low number.

Well someone still has to review your work and grade it and everything right? Not just about space, etc.BoneSnapDeez wrote:TICKED: Woke up early to register for classes. Oh yeah I know... but still some of these classes are absurdly small, like 8-10 students. And these aren't capstone/thesis type classes, I'm talkin' 101 type stuff.Stark wrote:Well someone still has to review your work and grade it and everything right? Wouldn't it be awesome if we had a president that actually did such things?Stark wrote:Oh my God that animated GIF is amazing.
Frown: I think my local Play N Trade closed. I mean, I don't know for sure, I'm just assuming. Play N Trades don't seem to last long, I guess because of all the Gamestops around. I went to my local Play N Trade on Tuesday and the door was locked. Then I noticed there was no business hours on the door or front window. So I peaked in and saw most of the shelves and the case empty, and all the flat panels ripped off the walls. Maybe they're just moving, but I'm afraid that they closed.
What's really annoying is that I wasn't going there just to browse/shop this time. I was planning on trying to talk them into hiring me as a tech guy (repairs on retro systems, maybe some mods as well). It's not that big of loss, I wasn't exactly expecting much anyway. But it'd be cool if I can pick up one day a week doing that.
And on top of this, I went back down to that local guitar shop (for any one that's been following my posts about it) that day too. Long story short, the owner told me that the land lord pretty much doubled his rent. So he's gonna try to fight it in court, otherwise he's gonna move (but still stay around the same area). Either way, I'll have a job. But it's just been a little difficult getting in. He said he's gonna try to call me this week or next so I can come in and do a repair or a setup on a guitar and see how it goes. So hopefully everything goes well. Wish me luck!

Yes if your play n trade is empty the closed there corprate office send people in and clear it out in one day.It sometimes happens if the store violates a policy.
