Only the team that wins the Stanley Cup matters!

Let the playoffs begin!

Oh man oh man, tomorrow we get the ball rolling! I'll be stuck at work for the first round of the playoffs, but afterwards I'll probably be booking off every other night for games :D

This season's playoff is quite interesting, as we may see the transfer of power: the Red Wings will go down hill from here (could be Lindstrom last season), while the Blues may emerge as a new powerhouse (not good news for Wild fans with the proposed re-alignment). This is maybe the breakthrough playoff season for the Preds, they got the right players emerging (not old Forsberg and Karuya) - and their progress may be the key on if Suter will stay or go (Wild fans want him, and this will weaken the Preds  ).

Will this be the last playoffs for the Desert Dogs? I do think so, as NO buyers have emerged since the talks on finding one began in January - Commie Betty, just find a Canadian buyer in either Quebec City or Hamilton (Seattle needs a new arena, and Hartford could be the surprising one  ) Canucks, time to get the job done, its now or NEVER! Kings and Sharks got do something to makeup for a disappointing regular season (I didn't think Burns was the piece that the Sharks needed).

So, the least two penalized teams in the league are currently playing a playoff game in Nashville and the commish is in the house watching and so far we have 6 penalties in the 1st period....this isn't the way hockey was meant to be played.

That Weber hit on Zetterberg was hilarious. What the hell was he thinking?!?

Too much time spent in professional wrestling country...

Not impressed with the Flyer's first goal. That was a VERY obvious offside that the ref should have called. It definitely should have been a no goal due to that. I'm not bias towards either team. I just think this is total garbage refing.

Yeah - that was a blown call, and the Flyers shouldn't have won...but I thought the game was reff'd pretty well. Shit happens. If the Pens wanted to win they shouldn't have given up the other three goals either.

The better team tonight clearly won though.

Oh Flyers. Great win, great comeback, but keep some steam in the engine. I've seen this happen so many times before...even if the Flyers win or lose, both teams have worn each other out and rarely advance to the next round.

But who cares? Great game.
