I think the core of frustration lies not in the poor grammar / writing itself, but rather the irony of taking the time to say you're concerned about the criticism over your grammar.

The reason that is:
A) If you're concerned enough to take the time to make dedicated thread - then you should take the time to work on the issue (spellcheck, etc).
B) If you don't care to take the time to work on it, then just absorb the criticisms (and if it's over the top, report the criticism) - but do not complain if you don't care enough to work on it.

^This isn't mean-spirited, at all, but rather an attempt to explain the frustration in a different light.

Whats the name of the program that you surf the net with?

Chrome comes with a spell checker of its own, Firefox has one but its an add on that you have to install separately, and I'm not sure about IE or Safari.

Fire Fox has spell checker built in. There's an option in the advanced tab in the options window that says, "Check my spelling as I type." I'm 99% sure it's checked off by default.

Which web browser? (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari, Opera, etc.)

If you're unsure, the following site will tell you your browser name & version.

Either that, or she uses Google to check certain words when she's in doubt...

I always Google words when posting. I use the spell check to it's full potential, but some times my spelling is so far off (or the spell checker just isn't that great in that instance) that I'll have to Google for the correct spelling. Truth be told, I'm actually a pretty bad speller. Also, a lot of times I'll Google words to get the definition to make sure I'm using the word correctly. Here's a tip if you didn't know, you can search "define:word". For example, search "define:fortnight" to find out that a fortnight is a period of two weeks. I do this even more when I'm reading the forum. It's especially useful to quickly figure out all those internet acronyms that I never heard of.
