It.. is.. awesome! I just ate snail bits playing during lunch at work, which seemed entirely appropriate hehe.

Ha! Same here.

The game is really nerve racking. I got cornered and watched my party slowly die as my feeble attempt to kill a giant carnivorous snail by throwing a stone at it backfired horribly.

Does the game have perma-death?

No, but it doesn't auto-save all that often and you could certainly play it like that if you wanted. Replayability is somewhat limited by the lack of randomly generated content (which is disappointing considering how much textures are re-used) but more than compensated for by the stellar puzzles. This game is special.

I'm running two warriors, a rogue and a mage right now. I feel like levelling is a little slow and it takes a lot of points to make any meaningful skill progression, but then I'm only on the second floor. Some of the traps are pretty evil.

I should also add that you can revive dead characters at crystals where all party members will be healed as well. Nevertheless, even with the ability to revive party members, this game is quite challenging.

I'm really digging the game so far. The enemies are tough and resources are scarce, so it definitely puts a bit of dread in you.

Here is a nice story about how the Legend of Grimrock developer helped a disabled fan by customizing their UI.

I can't seem to find this, got a link?

Weird, I guess it's not up anymore... seems like it would be a good idea to leave it up so people can see how the game runs.

Anyways, heres a link to one of several sites that has the compatibility test hosted:

http://games.on.net/file/48903/Legend_o ... est_v1.0.4

This should let you see the FPS you will get at various settings and how good it looks!
