You said it was more polished than ME 1. Hence why I brought up the bugs I've encountered.dsheinem wrote:I didn't say there were no bugs or doubt you were encountering them, I suggested that certain play styles/save files/etc. may prompt one to see more. I've certainly a few gripes with it, but overall it felt more polished than ME1, had a better second half (minus the ending) than ME2, and was generally a lot of fun. I encountered a bug only once or twice throughout the entire campaign, thought that the character and mission writing was on par with or better than it was in previous entries, and can say that I have zero regrets about pre-ordering it.
I wonder to what extent one's experiences in the previous games (including the data in your save files) shape both your narrative and gameplay experiences in ME3.
If my posts are mostly negative, it's probably due to me being a big fan of the franchise. That probably makes me more critical than other people.
I'm sure you just must be "more critical" because you're such a big fan of the franchise. Maybe if I were a better/bigger fan I'd have more negative things to say.
and the majority of complaints any product gets usually comes from the more hardcore fans, hence my statement about me being more critical because I'm a big fan. A statement I only made because you said I was hating on the game. I was just offering a reason why I may be coming off that way. Plus, a lot of my posts are kind of on impulse since I go back and forth between playing and posting. So when something in the game pisses me off, there's a good chance I'll quickly mention it in the thread in the heat of the moment. Like that post I made a while back after being killed by those damn cloaked Geth Hunters.
I'm playing through the Reaper Base mission on Rannoch. I was getting impatient and just got killed by a rocket launching Geth. It's my own fault for being careless, but I'm still kind of pissed. Some fights in this game just seem to take too long so it irritates me when I die. So I think I'll stop for now and pick the game back up some time tomorrow.ATARI800XLfan wrote:How far are you now?
