If you ask me RF is the one output to rule over them all. You really cannot compete with its proposition of convenience, sound AND video all through a single tiny wire? No clutter for the baby to get stuck and choke on, no puzzling conundrums of slightly different hued wires to make colour blind people feel handicapped.

Why, with such comfort it truly was the HDMI of its day.

Yeah, but unless your display is 9" or less it kinda looks bad. Back in the day, there wasn't all the RF noise floating around that all our new fangled gadgets depend on to interfere with the picture. In the real world you can't even get enough shielding to protect the digital connections over any long length, let alone the analog wires. Coaxial wasn't built for our modernized society (not that I'm endorsing Monster brand - that's just stupid).

The only advantage of RF is that you can daisy-chain the inputs with ease. But then you still have multiple consoles using RF. I won't even play my Genesis or Dreamcast because RF is just so mediocre.
