unofficial Racketboy PSO (DC) meet up

After a long time of wishing to play PSO online, I finally picked up a Dreamcast BBA (along with one other member here) and after messing with settings like crazy, successfully got my DC online with PSO!

There was a lot of people surprisingly in the lobbys, unfortunately they were all playing PC (the much more popular platform for the game) and you are only able to interact with them in the lobby.

That being said, I know there have been a few different threads mentioning PSO, and trying to get the DC online and I figured it would not hurt to centralize it and maybe get some meet up action going!

I have done all the hard work and can direct you on how to get connected. I used this server:

Yep. I'm one of those guys who played it on the PC via sthchack. I still have it installed. Just haven't played it in a while (about a year).

I have a GC and its BBA--although we can't go into games together, that's not stopping us from hitting up lobbies!

If I had a DC, the BBA, the game, and had it online you can bet I'd play with some people here. I love the idea of doing retro-online stuff.

You can go online with dial up still also, it just requires a few more steps. Also I found out that this server:

Is more DC oriented, and people have regular scheduled games over on that one, so we might be better off trying to join up there.

If we could meet up this weekend that would be cool, let me know if I can be any help, the guide is nice, but it leaves out some stuff that would be greatly helpful.

I just put about 2 hours into offline mode to get my character leveled up a bit, there is supposed to be a small meet on saturday from the Dreamcast-talk forum members and I want to be able to hang with them. The game is pretty addicting just playing offline, hoping to get a better weapon and trying to level up, I can only imagine online would be even better.

I had been the same way, when one came up on the forums here for sale, I went back and forth for like 2 weeks before I bit the bullet and got it from him. I am pretty excited to get to actually play online, something I never got to do back in the day.
